The best time to visit Paris is June.
Paris begins to shake off its chilly, rainy spring weather as early summer approaches at the end of June. In June, the average temperature sits around 74F degrees with sunsets occurring after 9pm. This gives you a long days to explore the beautiful city while enjoying some beautiful weather.
June’s near perfect weather is perfect for strolling through parks, down quaint cobblestone streets and sipping cappuccinos at outdoor cafes. It’s the perfect time of year to take the Paris vacation you’ve always dreamed about.
Mid-June is my personal favorite time of the year to visit this beautiful city.
By June, gardens and parks are blooming with young green leaves and fresh flower blossoms. It can still feel like leather jacket weather in June and have a few occasional late-spring showers. But like many other European nations, air conditioning in France is not as common as it in the USA. With late-summer heatwaves on the rise, visiting in June is best to avoid the high temperatures and minimal access to air conditioning you’ll experience later in the summer.
Summer Tourist Season in Paris
According to Statista, more than 35 million tourists visited Paris in 2019, making it the most visited city in Europe. As Covid rates drop and millions are itching for a trip to the City of Lights, tourists are expected to return to Paris in droves to make up for lost travel time.
While many Parisians leave the city in the summer months to avoid the influx of tourists, they’re not all are gone by June so you’ll still be able to experience a bit of everyday Parisian culture, and not just others emulating the lifestyle.
