It only takes about 5 minutes to whip up a bowl of this zesty sauce and it really elevates any homemade Mexican-inspired meal. I’m a huge sour cream lover and can barely eat Mexican food without it. Since this recipe is so easy, it’s pretty much replaced sour cream for homemade Mexican meals.

A citrus-y, creamy white sauce to serve alongside all your Mexican-inpsired dishes. Drizzle it over nachos or slather it on fish tacos. It elevates everything it touches!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup light mayo (I use Hellmanns)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup cool water

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayo, sour cream, garlic, lime juice, lime zest and water.
  2. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes for flavors to meld. Whisk before serving, adding more water if needed for desired consistency.
